UNLOCKED HIPS: 6 steps to freedom in the hips for a deep seat and a relaxed horse
Do you feel like your own body is "holding you back" in the saddle? You can train for hundreds of hours, but if your hips are locked, your horse will never be truly relaxed. Your stiffness is transmitted directly into your horse's back.

The UNLOCKED HIPS program is designed specifically for riders who want to stop fighting their bodies and finally start flowing with their horse. How this program will help you: Unlock your hips and pelvis: Get rid of that "stuck" feeling and gain the elasticity needed for a deep, independent seat. Improve your horse’s suppleness: A relaxed rider equals a relaxed horse. Your horse will finally be able to lift their back and respond to subtle aids. Eliminate asymmetries: Stop unintentionally blocking your horse on one side and improve your precision in turns and lateral work. Relieve pain: The exercises target deep muscles that often cause lower back and hip pain in riders. Reward yourself and your horse with movement without barriers. Your journey to a harmonious seat starts here.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this program suitable for beginners, or is it for advanced riders?
- It is for everyone. Whether you are just starting your riding journey or competing at a high level, hip mobility is a universal requirement. Beginners will build a correct foundation without "bracing," while advanced riders will find the missing piece to achieving true collection and subtle lateral work.
- How soon will I feel a difference in the saddle?
- Most riders report an immediate sense of "sitting deeper" after the very first session. However, for long-term changes in your horse’s suppleness and your own muscle memory, we recommend following the 6-step sequence consistently. You aren't just stretching; you are reprogramming your seat.
- I don’t have much time. How long are the sessions?
- As riders, we know your time is best spent at the stable. The exercises are designed to be short and effective (typically 10–15 minutes). You can do them at home as a morning routine or even at the stable as a pre-ride warm-up to prepare your pelvis for the saddle.
- My horse is very stiff. Can this program really help him?
- Absolutely. A horse cannot be more relaxed than its rider. If your hips are locked, your horse must hollow its back to compensate for your stiffness. By unlocking your pelvis, you remove the "brake" on your horse's movement, allowing them to lift their back and swing through their spine freely.
- Will this help with my lower back pain after riding?
- Yes. Lower back pain in riders is often caused by "frozen" hips—when your hips don't move, your lower back tries to absorb all the horse's motion. By restoring mobility to your hip joints, your pelvis can buffer the movement correctly, taking the strain off your spine.
- Do I need any special gym equipment?
- No expensive equipment is required. Most exercises use your own body weight or simple household items (like a chair or a yoga block/firm pillow). The focus is on correct alignment and biomechanics, not heavy lifting.
- How do I access the program?
